MULTI-PARAMETRIC BIOIMAGING AND CYTOMETRY

Multi-parametric bioimaging and cytometry (MPBIC)

The Multi-parametric Bioimaging and Cytometry (MPBIC) platform supports all research institutes and clinical departments of the Medical Faculty by providing access to, and support with light microscopy- and flow cytometry–based technologies. It offers comprehensive services from the assistance with sample preparation, the establishment of optimized protocols for the individual experiments, to data acquisition and analysis. Established by the Medical Faculty in 2020, the MPBIC platform emerged from the service department "Multi-dimensional microscopy and cellular diagnostics" and the Multimodal Imaging Platform Z01 of the DFG Collaborative Research Centre 854 (SFB 854). Besides standard microscopy and cytometry applications, the MPBIC and its predecessor have continuously supported a multitude of researchers in the establishment and application of intravital microscopy, Multi-Epitope-Ligand-Cartography (MELC) and cell sorting, this has resulted in numerous publications.
